چکیده
This study aims at assessing the effect of solution heat treatment (at a temperature just below eutectic temperature) followed by various cooling rates on microstructure and mechanical properties additively manufactured AlSi10Mg cast counterpart. The were evaluated using depth-sensing nanoindentation platform. parts solutionized 540 °C for 2 h water quenching, air cooling, furnace cooling. Results show extensive microstructural changes (e.g. size morphology eutectic-silicon phase) evolutions in heat-treated materials relative to as-printed as-cast ones. Besides, micromechanical broadly alter additive manufacturing conditions. Depending condition, mentioned cycles directly affect both starting with silicon fragmentation, then spheroidization, coarsening. evolution affects local studied materials. results this provide insights into control hence alloy addressing suitable cycles. study, first time, assesses compares post-fabrication conditions an alloy.

High temperature deformation behavior of cast 310S stainless steel has been investigated in this study by performing tensile and compression tests at temperatures from 900 to 1200C. Rectangular ingots of which the dimensions were 350×350×100 in millimeter were cast using vacuum induction melting. Phase equilibrium was calculated using the FactSage®, thermodynamic software and database. Thermal ...

The aim of this review is to analyze and to summarize the state of the art of the processing of aluminum alloys, and in particular of the AlSi10Mg alloy, obtained by means of the Additive Manufacturing (AM) technique known as Selective Laser Melting (SLM). This process is gaining interest worldwide, thanks to the possibility of obtaining a freeform fabrication coupled with high mechanical prope...
متن کاملCharacterization of the Dendritic Microstructure of Investment Cast Alloy 718
The as-cast alloy 718 shows a multiphasic structure which consists of dendrites, carbides and Laves phases. The amount, size, shape, and dispersion of these phases affect the properties and the processing which follows, This structure was characterized by measurements of volume fraction, size, dispersion, and shape factor of carbide and Laves phases. Secondary arm spacing and Vickers hardness w...
